As you might have known, I was out of the country last week, on a cruise! I just love cruises, they are my absolute favorite. You just get so much for your money! This is the third Carnival Cruise I’ve gone on, and it is always so exciting! This cruise was 7 day and we went to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. Here are a few (among many!) photos from the week:
This was my first time on the Freedom, and it took a while to learn how to get around this big ship!
In Jamaica we hiked the Dunns River Falls: that was pretty darn scary, I’m not gonna lie! Half the time I thought either me or Jeremy were going to end up at the bottom of the waterfall!
This is a cute little fish from Grand Cayman, when we went snorkling with the stingrays – which was also scary! Doesn’t he look like he’s smiling? Too cute.
And this was Cozumel. We rented a scooter and drove around the town, and say a small portion of the Mayans.
I’m just ready to go back! I came home to some cold weather in Texas, wanting to get back in to the sun and get my tan on! Now I’m slowly getting back to work and in the routine of things. Isn’t it so tough once you get back from a long vacation? It is for my anyways!
Wow! What a year! I just can’t believe 2014 is over. Time goes oh so very fast when you’re having fun, and getting older I guess! :O It’s been a great year, but I’m excited for 2015. Some highlights for this year include me opening my shop, website, and this little business. It’s been a dream for SO long, and I’m thankful I chose this year to open it. I don’t think it could of been any better. I got a lot of new and fancy equipment this year, and I have certainly put it all to use, maybe next year I’ll outgrow some of it! I got Bentley this year too, which was amazing! He’s really become part of the family, and is a great little addition for Jeremy and I. His birthday is tomorrow!
Download a 2015 Monthly Goal Sheet here!
And I’m also excited for 2015.. lot’s of good things that will be happening. I have MANY plans for products to come next year, which I can’t say them all, I don’t want to disappoint you when I don’t create them. But mugs are one of them, I really want to get in to them, and have been brainstorming some lately. Overall, I just hope to increase my social media, sales, and just overall exposure on the interent. One main goal is to blog more! I’m awful at it, it takes a while, but hopefully I’ll get better!
What about you do you have any highlights or plans?
Happy Thanksgiving y’all! Wow I cannot believe it is here, but I thought I’d share some things I am oh so very thankful for this year. I’m just going to be specific for this year, because there are thousands of things that come to my mind, but I really don’t want to keep you here that long! 🙂 Hope you enjoy my short and sweet little jots..
1. Bentley of course! I got him earlier this year, and I really can’t imagine my work day without him.
2. My boyfriend, he is seriously the best, I couldn’t ask for anything more from him.
3. YOU! It’s people like you, and those who have helped support my shop, to make my dreams a reality.
4. Learning from my failures. In all honesty, I’m so glad I screwed up earlier this year. On what? I’m not going to go in to detail on it, but it’s made me stronger, and better then ever, and it makes me so much more excited for next year.
5. And my family, I gotta through that one in there! No but really, my family and I are super close, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What about you, what are you thankful for?
This past week and weekend I took a little vacation to the East Coast. It was my first time to visit, and it sure was beautiful! Jeremy was in a wedding in Connecticut, so we decided to make a trip out of attending the wedding, so were gone for about 6 days, visiting all sorts of places! All the pictures in the post are really from New York, but we went all over the place!
We first flew in to Baltimore, then his uncle picked us up and took us to Maryland where w visited Jeremy’s grandpa. The next day we drove to New York, the following day we drove to Connecticut for the wedding, and the day after we headed back to Maryland to visit more of Jeremy’s family, then came home Monday morning. Whew was it a long trip! But it was fun, and my first time to meet some of those relatives. Anyways.. here are a few pictures!
This was on the road heading towards New York. Maryland maybe? I’m not too sure, but it was pretty!
We drove to Staten Island and took a fairy to New York. I’m SO glad I did this, it would have been impossible to drive around in New York!
New York was beautiful! The weather was a bit overcast unfortunately, but still a great sight.
Just like the movies! So many pretty alleys of buildings.
Ground zero was neat but sad to see.
We took a subway to Central Park.. and got lost on the subway.. turns out we were headed to Brooklyn! But eventually found it!
And then finally we went to the wedding! It was beautiful! and a great trip, but went by so fast! It’s crazy, because we went through six states within 5 hours.. that’s like me driving to Ft. Worth, here in Texas! lol!

I had such an amazing time at Blog Elevated this past weekend! It taught me so many things, and I was able to network with so many people as well. There were some amazing speakers, and I loved all of the breakout sessions, I learned many things that I only used to have such little knowledge on. Above is a photo of a bunch of cool business cards I got this weekend.Plus got some really cool swag, thanks to all of the sponsors!
I think one of the best things about the weekend, was that I learned a deeper meaning to blogging. If you’ve been reading my blog before, you’d know I recently starting this adventure during the summer of 2014. I guess I never really considered this a “blog” so to speak, it’s more of a place that I used to help sell my products. Well, after this weekend, it has made me look at my blog in a new way.
Don’t worry, I’ll still be keeping those random things like “Favorite Four” and “Free Font Collection” – I’m just going to start add more personal posts about life, places I’m going, and just things I’m working on in general. I want this to be more of a journey of my adventure of starting this etsy shop and design studio – a place where I can connect with customers, other bloggers, or just people in general.
I think one of the things that made me feel this way, was all of the amazing girls I met this weekend. The one’s in the photo above were awesome roommates, I got really lucky to have such sweet girls to stay with. I met many other awesome people, it’s crazy how large and supportive the blogging community is. I really want to thank my friend Breanna, with The Thing About Joy, for inviting me to come with her. There were so many amazing bloggers this past weekend, I can’t list them all. But here are some that you definitely need to go check out, if you haven’t already!
